Running Green at the Nike Women’s Marathon

I started road racing about four years ago in Nashville, TN at the Rock n’ Roll 1/2 marathon. Along the way I was awestruck at the people cheering, the volunteers, the music, and of course, the amount of waste thousands of runners can generate. Last weekend some friends and I took a trip to Mendocino. We tasted wine on the drive up through Anderson Valley (some amazing pinots – I loved Goldeneye’s Gowan Creek. We stopped at Husch, and the people there were outrageously friendly… the wine was good too!).
