Help NYTimes experience the love that is Dailymile.com
I’m a runner, and I’m an engineer. As a runner, I like to run. As an engineer, I like to take things apart and see how they work. Combining these two passions has been a challenging and fantastic experience. After each run (and sometimes during, I’ll admit) I break down pace, distance, route, and calories. I write everything down in charts, graphs, lists – on calendars, in journals, and most recently online. Having my running life mapped out on paper is great, but it’s not very convenient. For me, running doesn’t stop when I’m traveling, so by documenting everything online, I’m able to access my training history wherever I am. I found a couple of great tools to help me track my runs online and the one that I’m in love with these days is Dailymile.com.

With the guys at Dailymile.com (who are runners/cyclists/athletes), I’m going to try to get the word out to the New York Times about how cool their product is. Here are the details:
The New York Times is running a special section titled “Marathon Tech Review.” They are reviewing tech products every Friday up to the start of the New York Marathon. We’d love to be one of the products they review. Here’s a snippet from their first post:
“Each Friday, I will put to the test e-tools, gadgets and applications that aim to track runners’ progress and help train for the big run. I hope you’ll e-mail me your own tips, tools or other e-wizardry at nytmarathon@gmail.com.” – http://gadgetwise.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/05/22/marathon-tech-review-nike-ipod/
If you have a few minutes, drop them an email them and let them know how dailymile has been helpful in your training. Thanks so much!
