Cutting back on mileage and race times
Cross training for optimal performance can help improve race times and cut back on injuries. It’s also good for runners who don’t have enough time in the day to get in a regular run.
I’ve been trying mix in as much cross training as I can with weights, pilates, and yoga. Here are some videos and training tools I’ve found that help me keep motivated, and get me stronger.
Women’s Running Magazine recently did an article on how to run less, but run better. Sometimes it’s hard to find a core training routine in a magazine that actually works a runner’s body well. Check out Run less Run better from Women’s Running Mag
Josh Cox did a cover shoot for Runnersworld magazine a few months ago. He trains in Mammoth, CA and shares his core training techniques.
